Quick Water

While camping in the wilderness, I've noticed that it's helpful to have a little bit of water for rinsing hands, washing glasses, brushing teeth, and so on. Sometimes I would use a bottle of water, and sometimes I would deploy the fully-loaded 5-gallon jug, but I needed something quicker and easier.

After testing several configurations, I've landed on the quickly deployed setup pictured below. It's a 48 ounce Nalgene with one Brita spigot installed near the bottom and one installed in the top cap (for ventilation). I'm using a "bottle belt" (available several places online) and a carabiner.

I store the bottle clipped to the back of the driver's headrest post, and I deploy it by clipping it on the back door latch receiver. I open the top vent and then use the bottom spigot either momentarily or locked on. Quick and easy for a bit of water!
